I n 1978, Mattel released two dolls (which were not Barbie) Sunspell and Moonmystic , representing two guardian goddesses of the Galaxy with superpowers to defend those in danger. Nel 1978 la Mattel fece uscire due bambole (che non erano Barbie) Sunspell e Moonmystic , rappresentanti due dee-guardiane della Galassia dotate di superpoteri per difendere chi si trova in pericolo.

A sharp face was created for them with thin lips that hint of a smile . That same face was considered suitable by Mattel, two years later, for his Mediterranean traits, to represent the Italian Barbie. By changing the "spatial" make-up of the eyes, a galactic goddess turns into an earthly creature ! Fu creato per loro un viso affilato e dalle labbra sottili che accennano un sorriso . Quello stesso volto fu ritenuto adatto dalla Mattel, due anni dopo, per i suoi tratti mediterranei, a rappresentare la Barbie italiana . Modificando il trucco “spaziale” degli occhi, una dea galattica si trasforma in creatura terrena !
