The Roller Skating Barbie comes out in 1981 in pairs with Roller Skating Ken and, although the two dolls are sold separately, the advertisement shows them together calling attention to the matching costumes : both have red jersey, purple jacket and black shorts. Roller skates really run and can be removed from Barbie.
